Faster Answers, Just in Time for Tax Season

(RIVERWOODS, ILL., January 10, 2011) – Optimizing management of clients, employees, workflows, projects, billing and other processes across a CPA firm is key to sustaining a successful practice and building the foundation for continued success. CCH, a Wolters Kluwer business and a leading global provider of tax, accounting and audit information, software and services (, has introduced new enhancements to its ProSystem fx® Workstream and ProSystem fx® Practice SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) solutions – delivering an even clearer picture of firm operations instantly, when and where professionals need it.

“With the kickoff of tax season under way, it’s critical that CPA firms have the ability to easily manage their workflows to ensure efficient assignment, tracking and movement of projects from the time they come in the door through delivery and billing,” said Brian Steinert, CCH Director of Product Management, Workflow. “The integrated, centralized platforms supporting newly enhanced versions of ProSystem fx Workstream and Practice (SaaS) allow firms to focus time on their work and their customers.”

New for ProSystem fx Workstream

ProSystem fx Workstream is a full-featured tool providing the ability to actively manage all firm deliverables. New Monitored Project Notification automatic alerts help keep projects on track, assuring completion well before their assigned due dates . Users are notified a specified number of days prior to the planned finish date if the project is less than a specified percent complete. Project Assignment Timing allows for role and workstep assignments to be made independent of project creation.

Customers Rave About Workstream Convenience

Workstream customers are realizing the benefit of convenient access to a wide range of information.

“I have no reason to get out of my chair anymore. I simply look right in the program and know exactly where all of my documents and projects are,” said Josh Azran, Partner / Owner at Azran Financial APC. “No one has to mark a piece of paper and I also have a lot of internal control, too. I can now stay on top of the projects with very specific compliance requirements.”

Workstream also provides the option of being able to e-mail or post notifications to a dashboard for convenient monitoring.
