“Knowledge and the ability to use knowledge effectively and efficiently are the underpinnings of successful organizations,” said CCH Senior Manager Michael Monoson. “The new CCH Community enables professionals to leverage the breadth of knowledge they’ve come to expect from CCH while also sharing and learning from one another.”

CCH User Conference Attendees First to Leverage New Community

Attendees of the CCH User Conference 2009 taking place October 25-28 at the Gaylord National Convention Center in National Harbor, Md. will be among the first to benefit.

The knowledge-sharing opportunities available through the CCH User Conference are the initial focus of the community. Conference attendees will have a forum for immediate feedback, dialog and updates about the conference. The new community will also serve as an important resource for allowing attendees to form long-lasting connections with other attendees and conference participants before, during and after the event.

In the months ahead, the Community will expand to encompass all tax, accounting and audit topics, enabling professionals to:

  • Share solutions, problems and best practices with peers and experts in active discussion forums;
  • Receive insightful information and analysis from industry and CCH thought leaders, including blogs such as the Tax Chat from the Hill by CCH federal tax analysts George Jones and Mark Luscombe, which is being made available on the CCH Community at launch;
  • Network in a professional environment; and
  • Provide feedback and receive important updates on CCH products and services.

Firms Becoming More Social Businesses

The new online forum meets a growing need in the accounting profession. As more people become social media participants, it’s important for accounting firms to determine how they will become more social businesses, and leading firms are already doing that.

According to an independent survey commissioned by CCH, 41 percent of partners at high performing firms leverage social media for professional use. These partners reported that they find the most value from online communities. Detailed survey findings will be released at the CCH User Conference 2009 on October 27.
