Leading Securities Law Experts Will Advise Wolters Kluwer Law & Business As Regulatory Reform Reshapes the Financial Markets

(RIVERWOODS, ILL., October 15, 2008) – Wolters Kluwer Law & Business (CCH and Aspen Publishers) is pleased to announce the establishment of a Securities Regulation Advisory Board chaired by Ralph C. Ferrara, former SEC General Counsel and now a partner with Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP. Composed of eminent authorities in the practice of securities law, the new Securities Regulation Advisory Board also features three former SEC General Counsel, two former SEC Enforcement Directors, a former Director of the SEC’s Corporation Finance Division and a former head of the SEC’s New York Regional Office. In addition, the Board includes distinguished clinicians who have devoted their careers to practice under the federal securities statutes for public companies across the company and of every size. Finally, the Board's work will be complemented by experts in the field of corporate governance, Delaware law and public relations. Their input will provide invaluable guidance to the overall direction and focus of the CCH and Aspen securities product line.

The Board's formation is especially timely given current upheavals in the financial markets and the resulting implications for regulatory reform. The volatile and changing landscape makes the Board’s assistance in navigating this rapidly shifting environment particularly valuable.

“Not only is this a great group to advise the CCH Federal Securities Law Reporter, but we are all likely to learn a great deal from each other. Rarely, does such a distinguished group have an opportunity to convene to reflect on how the problems we are solving for our clients today will shape the future – a future that CCH will document and preserve for us all,” said Ferrara.

“In addition to being an incubator for ideas, we see the Board as a forum for dynamic discussions of trends and issues that will aid us in providing coverage of developing events and guidance for practitioners that may result in future products,” said Wolters Kluwer Law & Business Associate Publisher Susan Chazin. “Board members will play a key role in identifying the impact of market conditions, a fluid regulatory environment and a shifting political landscape on the work of securities lawyers with an emphasis on finding solutions to problems that they, their clients and other members of the community experience.”
