Latest CCH Audio Conference Focuses on Location-based Tax Incentives
(RIVERWOODS, ILL., February 3, 2006) – Valuable tax incentive programs available to businesses that are located in specific areas will be the topic of a live 150-minute audio conference on Friday, February 10, 2006 at 2 p.m. Eastern presented by CCH, a Wolters Kluwer business and a leading provider of tax information, software and services. Two experts in the field, Professor Charles Swenson of the University of Southern California and Blake Christian of Holthouse Carlin & Van Trigt LLP will detail for participants how to take advantage of these numerous and profitable opportunities.
"Last year’s hurricanes prompted a new range of incentives for businesses in the Gulf Coast region, but there are literally thousands of incentives available for businesses nationwide at the federal, state and local levels," said Richard Jarvis, CCH managing editor. "In this seminar, professionals will learn how to find these savings for their own firms and their clients, rather than leaving it on the table."
In the audio seminar, Swenson and Christian will discuss the following tax incentive opportunities:
- State Enterprise Zones
- The Gulf Opportunity Zone Act
- Sales and Use Tax Credits
- State and Federal Hiring Credits
Walkthroughs will demonstrate how incentives work in three sample states, and participants will have an opportunity to delve deeper into their own concerns in a live question-and-answer session.
