"We believe that our two-step searching offers the fastest research on the
Internet," said Kube.
Step one is to check one or more publications on a screen to be searched. Its
possible to drill down into each publication to further target a search if desired. Step
two is to type in the search terms on the very same screen used to target the search. The
user no longer has to move to a separate search screen, which saves time and makes the
entire research session flow more smoothly.
In addition to the two-step search feature, navigation and command buttons are now
"context sensitive," appearing on the screens only where they are needed. This
makes the CCH Internet service even easy to learn and eliminates the possibility of
issuing useless commands by mistake.
The speed and directness of two-step searching and context sensitive tools are
supplemented by other features CCH has introduced to improve and speed research:
From anywhere within a document, enter a free-form citation search, hide the document
navigation bar or call up the toolbar;
- Add multiple documents all at once to the Keep List;
- Review search results faster now that viewed documents appear in a different color;
- Print all or selected documents right from the Search Results List.
